A FedEx Express Boeing 777F freighter leaps stridently into the sky over Memphis International Airport as it sets out toward one of hundreds of global destinations serviced by this famous freight company.

The enormous FedEx Global Hub, also known as the Super Hub, covers an area of over 940 acres. It processes about 2.5 million packages in a 24 hour day, and handles about 250 aircraft within the same period. FedEx, formerly known as Federal Express, was founded in 1971 by Mr Frederick W. Smith and the company has grown into one of the largest and most recognisable worldwide freight operators.

Boasting the largest freight capacity and longest range in the fleet, the 777F has assumed the mantle of flagship for FedEx Express. Along with a maximum payload of 228,700 lbs (103,700 kg), this amazing aircraft also has a maximum range of 9,750 NM (18,057 km).
